The Grady Bunch

WARNING! INTENSE DEMONATA SPOILERS AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!







Alright, so I feel it's best to warn you now that this is going to be a VERY long explanation because I'm going through every square baby!

Okay, so you've probably heard of that show "The Brady Bunch" about these two families that move in together and have like 6 kids xD. It's a little before my generation so I've never actually seen, but I've definitely heard of it. So the other day I got this idea, and the Grady Bunch was born!

Now as you may know, the Grady's from Darren Shan's "Demonata" series (the kind of books I like to read that makes my mom question where she went horribly wrong xD and yes they're not my characters obviously) are a family that's plagued by a werewolf curse. Fun. And they like to tango with demons alot and face the mighty Lord Loss in chess. In beating him the curse will be lifted from one lyncanthropic child (notice how I made the grid look like a chess board instead of that ugly blue colour in the original Bunch yes I am that clever xD). I just finished reading "Demon Apocalypse" (book 6) and was really in the mood for some Demonata art and this is what came out. Now let's go through the trials and tribulations of every individual square!

(Top Row - Left to Right)

~Billy Spleen- He prefers to call himself Bill-E (ew) and is Grubbs' illegitimate half brother. He's funny and really uncool so I like him xD. And I drew his left eye kind of wonky on purpose since it's supposed to be lazy

~Grubitsch Grady- Yay Grubbs! It's about time I drew him I love this guy he's so awesome! Everybody was bagging on him pretty hard in Demon Apocalypse and calling him a coward o__O I thought that was pretty mean. I mean seriously the kid lost his entire family in a demon attack and constantly faces whacked out magical situations and bloody carnage! He's entitled to wimp out now and then sheesh... (and I made him take after his mom ^__^ aw how sweet). And in case you were wondering about his shirt he's wearing one of those "The Man ^ The Legend V" shirts XD.

~Bec McConn- She's some kind of priestess from a couple thousand years ago. I never read her book so I don't know a whole lot about her, but she's an important character and a Grady ancestor so she gets a square. From what I've seen of her she's alright... I always give her a really lyrical voice in my mind xD

(Middle Row - Left to Right)

~Gretelda Grady- Grubbs' sister, Gret. She actually had a really pretty name I think o__O. She came out looking kind of funny in this. Oh well, I liked her, she was a good big sister.

~Sharon Grady- Well she DIDN'T come out looking like a total milf xD. I modeled her after Lois Griffin from Family Guy.

(Bottom Row - Left to Right)

~Cal Grady- Oh how I love a man in a suit *drool*! Grubbs' dad who slept around and made Bill-E oh how fun!

~Dervish Grady- Grubbs' uncle and master of all things awesome. I always imagined him as sort of the "attractive older man" but he didn't really turn out that way . He's supposed to be bald, which is hard to draw, so I tried to make him at least look balding. And he's wearing his trademark all-denim! Yay!

~Juni Swan- Okay seriously, I used to really like her! She was so cute and sweet like my favourite character x__x but then she turned out to be an evil slut! Oh well I still try to hang on to the good ole days of Slawter... She sort of looks like a lab rat eh? xD

Okay seriously I am going to work on making shorter explanations for you guys because that up there is just plain ridiculous x__x. And now I'm making it worse so I'll stop, see you all next time.
